Catherine Hill, PhD.
Catherine joined the Women Legislators of Maryland as Caucus Director in December 2017. As a public policy professional with expertise in women’s issues, Catherine brings a wealth of experience to the Caucus. The former Research Director at the American Association of University Women, a Study Director at the Institute for Women’s Policy Research, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia. She teaches “Gender, Politics and the Law” at George Washington University in the Fall semester. Catherine has written extensively about women and public policy including reports such as Barriers and Bias: The Status of Women in Leadership, Solving the Equation: Women in Engineering and Computing, Drawing the Line: Sexual Harassment on Campus, and Why So Few? Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
